Eloqua’s User Interface (UI) Change to Affect all UW–Madison Users November 16

Act Now to Avoid Disruption

In case you missed it, Oracle is rolling out a new User Interface (UI), called Redwood, across all of its cloud applications, including Eloqua. More than just a color and font refresh, Redwood is also a functionality and feature enhancement. Redwood for Eloqua is being rolled out in stages as each area is completed by the development team. This will change every aspect of how we do your work in Eloqua, and the Marketing Automation team strongly encourages you to take action now to learn and adopt the new experience so you will be ready to use Eloqua Redwood on November 16.

Each UW–Madison Eloqua user will need to take responsibility for understanding how to use and navigate the mew user interface updates to Eloqua. As a reminder, Eloqua Redwood can be accessed at any time via the checkbox on the lower left part of the “hamburger” menu (left side navigation menu). Here’s how to turn it on:

As of November 16, the Redwood UI will become the default user experience, including for all of us at UW–Madison. This means when you log in to Eloqua, you will see the Redwood/new version of these feature areas:

  • “My Eloqua” home/landing page
  • A/B test campaign guided process
  • Campaign launcher & Settings
  • Simple Campaigns Guided Process
  • Forms
  • Hyperlinks Manager
  • Segment template & overview/launcher
  • Image and File Libraries
  • Shared Content
  • Shared Filters and Shared Lists
  • Image and File uploads and editor

[The Email Design Canvas has NOT yet—as of this writing—been released in Redwood.]

Both interfaces operate in the very same Eloqua instance. For a limited time, you will be able to toggle back and forth between the Classic (current) and Redwood (new/in development) interfaces.

We recommend you take these steps as soon as possible:

  1. Start by making the switch to Redwood and taking a self-guided tour around the feature areas.
  2. Begin to use the Redwood interface now in your daily work.
  3. Review Campus Eloqua User Group sessions we conducted on the new Redwood UI from December 2023–October 2024.
  4. Refer to the Eloqua Knowledge Base (KB articles), (new screen shots/graphics coming soon) to guide you through Eloqua features.
  5. Re-visit the  Oracle Eloqua UW-Madison Training via the Canvas Learning Management System (after November 22).
  6. Consult Oracle’s Official Redwood help documentation.

The Marketing Automation team is contacting each of our campus users to gauge awareness and readiness for this upcoming change. We will be asking for a formal acknowledgement of this Redwood awareness. Please watch for more Redwood UI transition messaging over the coming days and weeks.
