Redwood Interface is Now the Default Eloqua Experience

In case you missed it, Oracle has created a new User Interface (UI), called Redwood, across all of its cloud applications, including Eloqua. More than just a color and font refresh, Redwood is also a functionality and feature enhancement. This changes every aspect of how we do our work in Eloqua, and the Marketing Automation team strongly encourages taking action now to learn and adopt the new experience.

Learn Redwood Now

Each UW–Madison Eloqua user will need to take responsibility for understanding how to use and navigate the mew user interface updates to Eloqua. As a reminder, Eloqua “Classic” can still be accessed for a limited time via the checkbox on the lower left part of the “hamburger” menu (left side navigation menu). Here’s how to  toggle between Redwood and “Classic:”

As of November 16, the Redwood UI has become the default user experience, including for all of us at UW–Madison. When logging in to Eloqua, you will see the Redwood/new version of these feature areas:

  • “My Eloqua” home/landing page
  • A/B test campaign guided process
  • Campaign launcher & Settings
  • Simple Campaigns Guided Process
  • Forms
  • Hyperlinks Manager
  • Segment template & overview/launcher
  • Image and File Libraries
  • Shared Content
  • Shared Filters and Shared Lists
  • Image and File uploads and editor

Both interfaces operate in the very same Eloqua instance, so the underlying database and functionality is the same.

We recommend you take these steps as soon as possible:

  1. Start by taking a self-guided tour around the main Eloqua feature areas now in Redwood.
  2. Use the Redwood interface now in your daily work as much as possible (instead of switching back to “Classic.”)
  3. Review Campus Eloqua User Group sessions we conducted on the new Redwood UI from December 2023–October 2024.
  4. Refer to the Eloqua Knowledge Base (KB articles), (new screen shots/graphics coming soon) to guide you through Eloqua features.
  5. Request access or revisit the  Oracle Eloqua UW-Madison Training via the Canvas Learning Management System.
  6. Consult Oracle’s Official Redwood help documentation.
