Application enhancements
Eloqua “25 B” updates are live in our instance as of May 16. For those of you who are new to Eloqua, Oracle makes updates to the cloudware four times per year that typically occur in February: “A”; May: “B”, August: “C”; and November“: D.” For this recent “25 B” update, there were a variety of minor enhancements, including:
Campaigns:
- Create, delete, rename, and edit Templates in the Campaigns area of Eloqua.
- Starting a Redwood Experience for “Batch” send from the Email Design editor now launches a Simple Campaign.
- Email assets can now be opened from within an active, scheduled or completed Simple Campaign.
In the Contact view:
- The contact summary and view more drawers have been updated.
- Contact view selector was removed from the contact summary, date filter from the Activities panel—Use “view more” drawer instead to access these features.
- View selections now persist: Changing the contact view will remain while viewing or editing the contact record.
- Select and copy read-only text: Redwood update now allows for copying text from a read-only field.
Email Group Unsubscribe:
There is a new metric available in Insight Reporting. Previously, Eloqua could not report on Email Group unsubscribes, which are the mainstay of our Campus Eloqua instance. Users can now distinguish between unsubscribes at the email group level and global unsubscribes. The Insight reports are:
- Total Global Unsubscribes by Email: View global level unsubscribes.
- Total Unsubscribes by Email Group: Track unsubscribes specific to individual email groups.
